Who is responsible
Hair by Swedes is operated as a By Pernheim venture and is responsible for the personal information used to run this directory. Contact the Hair by Swedes team through our contact form for privacy questions and requests.
What we collect
For listing submissions we collect your name, optional business or salon name, private contact email, country and city/area, Swedish professional training or background, languages, specialties, work styles, biography, public contact information, professional Instagram and website/profile links, any additional professional verification URL, and profile/work image link and displayed content. We record your accuracy and image-rights confirmations, publication permission, Listing Terms agreement and Privacy Policy acknowledgement, their date and terms version, submission date and review status.
For contact enquiries we collect your name, email, message and submission date. Hosting and service providers may process technical request information, such as IP address and operational logs, for delivery, security and abuse prevention. Please do not send identity documents, certificates or sensitive personal information through these forms. If further professional evidence is necessary, we will ask individually.
What becomes public
Submissions are not public until approved. Approved profiles may display your name, business name, location, background, languages, specialties, work styles, bio, public contact method, Instagram, website and image. Your private contact email, additional review-only verification URL, confirmation records and contact enquiries are not displayed or returned with public profiles. Only put details you want to share into the public contact field.
Why we use it and legal bases
We use information to review submissions, verify professional activity, communicate about your submission, publish and maintain approved listings, respond to enquiries and protect the service against abuse and security threats.
Publication is based on your request and permission to appear in the directory. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it through Contact. Where applicable, we may rely on legitimate interests for necessary professional review, communication, security and service administration, taking your rights into account, or on steps needed to provide the listing service you request. We may also retain or use information where a legal obligation applies. Acknowledging this policy is not blanket consent to unrelated processing.
Service providers and transfers
The directory uses Lovable Cloud for hosting and database services. Information may be processed by the hosting, database and related infrastructure providers needed to operate the service, and is accessible to the Hair by Swedes team for review and administration. We do not sell submitted personal data. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to address a legitimate legal or security issue.
Depending on the service providers’ processing locations, information may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Where applicable, transfers require safeguards under data protection law. We do not describe a specific transfer mechanism or processing country here without confirming the relevant provider arrangements. You can contact us about current arrangements; this policy will be updated if the services or relevant details change.
How long we keep information
Rejected or incomplete listing submissions are deleted within 90 days after review concludes, unless needed to resolve an issue. Approved listing information is retained while the listing is active. After removal, ordinary profile information is deleted or made non-identifying within 90 days, unless a legal obligation or legitimate dispute or security need requires longer.
Contact enquiries are normally deleted within 12 months after the matter is closed, unless needed longer for that matter or a legal obligation. Optional verification material is not retained longer than needed for review or resolving a specific concern. Retention is managed by the team; these periods are not a promise of immediate deletion from every provider backup, whose lifecycle may differ.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where applicable. You can withdraw consent or publication permission where processing relies on it, and request profile removal. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Send requests through Contact. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm that a request relates to you. You may complain to the relevant supervisory authority, including the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) where applicable.
External links and services
Hairdressers’ websites, Instagram accounts and external booking services are separate services with their own terms and privacy practices. Hair by Swedes does not handle those bookings, payments or client arrangements. This MVP has no customer accounts or advertising cookies.
